Membership Policies & Gym Rules

These policies apply to all BADMAN Gym members, guests and trial users. Read them before joining and follow reasonable staff instructions for a safe, clean and respectful training environment.

Membership, payments and entry

01. Non-transferable membership

Membership is personal to the registered member. It cannot be transferred, sold, gifted or shared. Membership cards, access codes and booked sessions must not be used by another person.

02. Payments and receipts

Pay only through authorised gym payment channels and collect an official receipt. The selected plan, included facilities, fees, start date and expiry date must be recorded at joining. Renewals require payment under the agreed terms.

03. Strict no-refund policy

Except for the closure exception below or refunds required by applicable law, all joining, membership and personal-training fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes change of mind, non-attendance, illness, injury, relocation, work or personal commitments, financial difficulties, and dissatisfaction with individual fitness results. The sole refund exception under this policy is a complete gym closure affecting the member's paid membership term and lasting more than 30 consecutive calendar days. The member may then cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused paid membership period from the first day of closure, plus fees for unused prepaid training sessions. Fees for services already provided are not refundable under this policy. Holidays, closures of 30 days or less, and unavailability of an individual facility do not create a refund entitlement under this policy. Refunds and other remedies required by applicable law remain unaffected.

04. Membership validity

Membership runs from the agreed activation date to the recorded expiry date. Non-attendance does not automatically pause or extend it. Promotional benefits apply only as disclosed when the plan is purchased.

05. Freezing and extensions

A freeze or extension is available only where included in the purchased plan or separately agreed in writing by management. Requests must follow the applicable plan terms; verbal assurances are not a substitute for written approval.

06. Entry and visitors

Check in at reception on every visit and provide membership identification when requested. Visitors and trial users need prior approval and must follow these rules. Members must not admit unregistered persons or bypass access controls.

07. Minors

Members under 18 require written parent or guardian consent and must follow the gym's supervision and age-appropriate equipment rules. Children may enter training areas only under an arrangement approved by management.

08. No outside shoes

Outdoor shoes are strictly prohibited on the workout floor. Carry a separate pair of clean, closed-toe indoor sports shoes and change before entering. Slippers, sandals and barefoot workouts are not permitted in the gym training area.

09. Belongings and lockers

Secure your valuables and use lockers as instructed. Empty day-use lockers before leaving unless another arrangement is agreed. Report loss promptly. Responsibility for any loss will be assessed under applicable law; this rule does not waive legal rights.

Gym floor, safety and conduct

10. Workout clothing and towels

Wear suitable exercise clothing and carry a clean personal towel. Use a towel on benches where needed. Follow the posted dress and footwear rules for each facility.

11. Re-rack every weight

Return all dumbbells, weight plates, bars, mats and accessories to their designated places immediately after use. Unload equipment after finishing. Keep walkways, exits and the floor clear.

12. Equipment care

Do not slam dumbbells, plates or weight stacks, misuse machines, or alter equipment without staff approval. Report damaged or faulty equipment immediately and stop using it until cleared by staff.

13. Share equipment fairly

Allow reasonable sharing between sets when safe, avoid reserving several machines at once, and follow posted time limits during busy periods. Return borrowed accessories promptly.

14. Hygiene and cleanliness

Wipe equipment after use with the provided cleaning materials. Dispose of waste properly, keep drinking bottles closed, and report spills immediately. Consume food only in designated areas and do not enter shared facilities with an illness that could spread to others.

15. Safe training

Use equipment only as instructed and choose weights appropriate to your ability. Use safety supports, clips and a spotter where appropriate. Ask staff for help with unfamiliar equipment and follow reasonable safety instructions.

16. Health and emergencies

Confidentially tell designated staff about health issues relevant to safe exercise and obtain medical clearance when needed. Stop exercise and alert staff if unwell or injured. Report accidents promptly. Exercise carries inherent risks; these rules do not exclude any gym liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Respectful behaviour

Treat members and staff respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, stalking, threats, abusive language, fighting and sexual misconduct are prohibited. Respect personal space and do not disturb others with excessive noise or disruptive behaviour.

18. Prohibited substances

Smoking, vaping, chewing tobacco, gutka, alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited on the premises. Do not enter or train while intoxicated. Unauthorised sale or supply of performance-enhancing substances is prohibited.

19. Trainers and commercial activity

Personal training must be arranged through authorised gym channels; extra charges must be disclosed before purchase. Outside commercial coaching, solicitation, product selling and advertising require prior written management approval.

Facilities and accountability

20. Photography, filming and privacy

Do not photograph or film other people without their consent. Recording is prohibited in changing rooms, toilets and other private areas. Commercial shoots require written approval. Gym use of a member's image for promotion requires separate consent. CCTV may be used in designated common areas for security, never in private changing or toilet areas.

21. Additional facilities

Use the pool, steam room, sauna and other facilities only if included in your plan or separately booked. Follow posted hygiene, capacity, supervision and safety rules. Shower before using the pool; running and diving are prohibited unless specifically permitted in a designated area.

22. Damage and payment responsibility

A member who causes damage through negligence, misuse or deliberate action must pay the reasonable, documented cost of repair or replacement, as appropriate. Normal wear and tear and pre-existing faults are not chargeable. Management will provide written details and an opportunity to respond. Failure to resolve an established claim may lead to lawful recovery proceedings. Suspected deliberate unlawful damage may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

23. Warnings, suspension and termination

Breaches may result in a warning, proportionate restriction, suspension or termination. Serious safety risks, violence or harassment may require immediate removal or suspension. Management will record the reason and provide an opportunity to respond where practicable. Refund eligibility follows clause 03 and applicable law.

24. Timings and service interruptions

Follow posted opening hours and leave by closing time. Areas may be temporarily restricted for maintenance, emergencies, safety or lawful orders, with notice where practicable. Closure-related refund eligibility follows clause 03. Applicable legal remedies remain available.

25. Policy updates

Management may issue reasonable operational updates with notice. Changes must comply with law and must not retrospectively remove purchased benefits or statutory rights. Any material change to a paid plan requires an appropriate written agreement or lawful remedy.

26. Complaints and applicable law

Raise complaints with the gym manager or reception; written complaints should identify the issue and requested resolution. These policies are governed by applicable Indian law and do not restrict access to competent consumer authorities or courts.
